Binance Monitoring Tag Adds Four Tokens as Alpha Removes 14 Assets

Swan.my.id - Jakarta - Binance added AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS to its Binance Monitoring Tag on September 4, while Binance Alpha separately removed 14 tokens from its recommendation list.
The Monitoring Tag keeps the four tokens available for trading, but places them under more frequent reviews. Binance warned that monitored assets may carry higher volatility and risk than other tokens listed on its main exchange.
Separately, the Alpha removals do not automatically remove the affected assets from Binance’s main spot exchange. Users can still sell or withdraw the tokens through the functions available on Binance Alpha.
Binance Monitoring Tag places four tokens under review
The four projects added to the Binance Monitoring Tag are Ava, Gains Network, Scroll and Towns Protocol. Their corresponding tokens are AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS.
The designation does not immediately end trading for the four assets. Binance said related services remain available after the tag is applied, although the projects will receive closer attention during future reviews.
Binance may eventually delist a monitored token if it determines that the asset no longer meets the exchange’s listing requirements. However, the latest notice did not identify a separate violation or a specific weakness for AVA, GNS, SCR or TOWNS.
The exchange reviews several factors when assessing monitored projects. These include trading volume, liquidity, development activity and the project team’s continuing commitment.
Binance also considers network security, smart contract stability, public communication and how project teams respond to due diligence requests. Other considerations include increases in token supply, changes to tokenomics and evidence of fraudulent, unethical or negligent conduct.
The exchange may add or remove the tag after future reviews. Therefore, the designation is a warning and review status rather than a final delisting decision.
Risk requirements apply to monitored assets
Users trading Monitoring Tag assets on Binance Spot or Margin are generally required to complete a risk-awareness quiz every 90 days. They must also accept the applicable exchange terms.
These requirements are intended to ensure that traders understand the risks associated with monitored tokens. Those risks include heightened volatility and the possibility of a future delisting.
Binance did not announce a deadline for the next review of AVA, GNS, SCR or TOWNS. Project teams may respond publicly, but Binance retains control over decisions involving its exchange listings.
Monitoring Tags can precede delisting, although they do not guarantee that outcome. In August, Binance delisted six cryptocurrencies after four had previously received Monitoring Tags. Withdrawals for those six assets remained open until October, according to the available report.
Binance Alpha removes 14 recommended assets
Binance Alpha removed 14 assets from its selected-token list at 16:30 UTC+8 on September 4. Alpha is an early-stage token discovery feature within Binance Wallet, not the exchange’s main spot market.
The removed assets are MTP, BDXN, TALE, BOS, MAIGA, TIMI, SAROS, U, SERAPH, RVV, AIAV, PENGUIN, ODOS and SN3.
The projects include Multiple Network’s MTP, Bondex Token’s BDXN, PrompTale AI’s TALE, BitcoinOS’s BOS and Maiga.ai’s MAIGA. MetaArena’s TIMI, Saros, Union, SERAPH and REVIVE were also included in the removal.
The remaining projects are AI Avatar, Nietzschean Penguin, Odos and Nebula3. Binance said the assets no longer met Alpha’s standards after its latest review, but it did not publish individual reasons for each decision.
Alpha removal does not equal spot delisting
Removal from Binance Alpha differs from a full Binance spot delisting. The decision means that the assets no longer appear on Alpha’s selected-token list. It does not automatically end listings or services available through other Binance products.
Users can withdraw the affected tokens through the Alpha assets page. They can also sell them through Alpha’s instant-order function or trade supported assets using Binance Wallet’s market interface.
Binance Alpha offers access to early-stage projects that may have limited liquidity and sharp price volatility. Inclusion in Alpha also does not guarantee that a token will later receive a full Binance spot listing.
Likewise, removal from Alpha does not mean that Binance’s main exchange has delisted the token. Binance advised users to conduct independent research before trading the affected assets outside Binance Wallet.
A full spot delisting normally involves separate deadlines for trading, deposits and withdrawals. It may also affect futures, margin, loans, Earn products and other services. Binance announced no such broader deadlines for the 14 Alpha tokens in the latest notice.
Different decisions require different user responses
The two announcements represent different levels of action. The Monitoring Tag keeps four assets under heightened review on the main exchange, while the Alpha decision removes 14 assets from an early-stage recommendation feature.
Users holding or trading the monitored tokens should pay attention to future Binance notices and complete any required risk-awareness steps. Traders affected by the Alpha removals should review the available selling and withdrawal functions within Binance Wallet.
No verified market data established a common price reaction across all 18 affected assets when the notices were published. As a result, price movements should not be attributed to Binance’s decisions without token-specific trading evidence.
Binance previously removed 20 other tokens from Alpha in May while separately preparing five assets for spot delisting. Those actions followed different notices and user deadlines, further showing that Alpha removals and spot delistings are separate processes.
For AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS, the Monitoring Tag creates additional scrutiny without ending trading immediately. For the 14 Alpha assets, the latest change removes their recommendation status while preserving the selling and withdrawal functions identified by Binance.
