Swan.my.id - Jakarta, PT Dharma Polimetal Tbk (DRMA) is strengthening its position in Indonesia’s electric vehicle industry by partnering with global automotive component manufacturer Minth Group.
The two companies have officially established a joint venture called PT Dharma Minth Indonesia. The new entity will focus on producing electric vehicle components for leading automotive brands worldwide.
DRMA President Director Irianto Santoso said the partnership responds to the growing use of electric vehicles and the expanding market for related components. He made the statement in an official announcement on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
DRMA and Minth Group Add New EV Components
PT Dharma Minth Indonesia will expand Dharma Group’s product portfolio with components that DRMA has not previously produced. The planned products include battery housing, body and chassis structures with aluminum extrusion, and plastic component design.
These products are intended to support the wider electric vehicle supply chain in Indonesia. The partnership also creates an opportunity for DRMA to reach new customers and expand its presence in international markets.
Minth Group brings an established global network to the cooperation. The company is known as a supplier that has partnered with more than 80 leading brands in the global automotive industry.

Joint Venture Receives Rp45 Billion Initial Investment
The joint venture has an initial investment value of Rp45 billion. Minth Group holds the majority ownership with a 51 percent stake, while the remaining 49 percent belongs to Dharma Group.
The ownership structure gives Minth Group a leading role in the new company while maintaining Dharma Group’s participation in the business. Both companies will use the partnership to develop EV component production in Indonesia.
Cibitung Factory Targeted to Operate in 2027
PT Dharma Minth Indonesia will use an existing Dharma Group production facility at MM2100 Industrial Town in Cibitung, West Java. The factory is scheduled to begin effective operations in the second quarter of 2027.
The use of an existing facility allows the joint venture to build its production activities around infrastructure already owned by Dharma Group. However, the company has not disclosed further details about production capacity or specific customer contracts.
According to Irianto, the partnership is expected to provide long-term benefits for Dharma Group. The company sees technology transfer and the creation of a new revenue growth engine as two important advantages of the cooperation.
