Swan.my.id - Jakarta, the Huawei Mate 90 Series is nearing its official debut with four expected flagship models, multiple Kirin chipsets, and a 200MP periscope camera. Huawei has confirmed that the lineup will be introduced in China on October 1, 2026.
The series is expected to include the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, and Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design. Sales are also reportedly scheduled to begin on the same day as the launch.
According to a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, Huawei will separate the performance levels of each model through different chipset configurations. This approach would give the premium versions a clear hardware advantage over the standard model.
Huawei Mate 90 Series Uses Three Kirin Chipsets
The standard Huawei Mate 90 is reportedly set to use the Kirin 9030. The model will also feature 12GB of RAM and storage capacity of up to 1TB, based on the leaked specifications.
Meanwhile, the Mate 90 Pro is expected to carry the Kirin 9035. The chipset reportedly works with a Maleoon 935 GPU and reaches speeds of up to 2.85GHz. This configuration places the Pro model above the standard version in terms of processing hardware.
The Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design are expected to receive Huawei’s Kirin 9050 Pro. This chipset has previously appeared in the company’s premium devices, and its use in the two highest-end models could strengthen their flagship positioning.
As a result, Huawei appears ready to distinguish the lineup not only through design and camera features. The company may also reserve its most powerful chipset for the Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS.
Pro Models Reportedly Feature Dual-Layer OLED Displays
Display technology represents another major highlight of the Huawei Mate 90 Series. Earlier reports indicated that the Mate 90 Pro and Mate 90 Pro Max would use dual-layer OLED panels.
This technology stacks two light-emitting layers in one display. In theory, the design can produce very high brightness while using power more efficiently than a conventional panel at a similar brightness level.
The Mate 90 Pro reportedly features a 6.75-inch display. The Mate 90 Pro Max, meanwhile, is expected to use a larger 6.9-inch panel. Both models could reach peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, according to previous leaks.
The Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design could offer an even higher brightness level. However, the available information does not detail the exact display size or brightness figure for this model.
Mate 90 Pro Max Highlights a 200MP Periscope Camera
The camera system could become the main attraction of the Mate 90 Pro Max. The model is reportedly equipped with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, giving it a notable advantage in long-range photography specifications.
The main camera is also said to support a dynamic range of up to 18EV. That capability could help the phone preserve more detail in scenes with strong differences between bright and dark areas.
Huawei is additionally preparing a Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition. This version reportedly supports an external camera module with an approximately 1-inch sensor and 10x optical zoom.
Huawei has previously shown the Huawei Vision Z10 telephoto module. The accessory supports a 10x optical zoom range, sells separately, and works with selected devices. The available details do not confirm every compatible model.
The Mate 90 RS is expected to offer camera specifications similar to the Pro Max. However, it may stand apart through a titanium unibody design and three reported color choices: white, black, and red.
