Swan.my.id - Jakarta, Huawei has brought the Huawei MatePad Air 2026 to Indonesia after a two-year absence. The new tablet combines a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte display, a 10,100 mAh battery, and several artificial intelligence features focused on productivity.
Huawei Device Indonesia Senior Retail Manager Edy Supartono introduced the tablet during its launch event in Jakarta on Friday, September 18, 2026. The company positioned the device as part of its effort to complete its tablet lineup in the Indonesian market.
The Huawei MatePad Air 2026 is available in Indonesia for Rp13,999,000. During the launch promotion from September 18 to October 17, 2026, buyers can receive benefits worth up to Rp9.3 million.
Huawei MatePad Air 2026 Focuses on a Slim and Lightweight Design
As its name suggests, the MatePad Air 2026 is designed to remain comfortable to hold. The tablet weighs 509 grams and measures only 5.3 millimeters thick, making it thinner than the previous-generation MatePad Pro 12.2-inch, which measured 5.5 millimeters.
The device features a smooth textured finish and comes in three color options: Aurora Blue, Sakura Pink, and white. Huawei describes Sakura Pink as a new color that has not previously appeared in its tablet lineup.
12-Inch OLED PaperMatte Display
The tablet uses a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte display with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 92 percent. Its specifications include a 2800×1840 resolution, DCI-P3 color coverage, and peak brightness of 1,200 nits.
One of the main differences from the previous series is the use of nanoscale anti-glare technology. Huawei says the coating is more uniform than conventional etching techniques, helping reduce reflections without sacrificing screen clarity.
The company also claims that visual comfort improves by up to 20 percent compared with the previous generation. The reduced reflections are intended to make outdoor viewing more comfortable.
AI Features for Notes and Office Work
Huawei promotes the MatePad Air 2026 as a device offering “PC-level productivity.” Its Huawei Notes application includes AI Handwriting Enhancement, which helps tidy handwritten notes, and AI Multi-speaker Recognition, which converts conversations into text.
Another feature, AI Problem Solver, can provide solutions to written questions, including mathematics problems. These tools are designed to support note-taking, learning, and everyday work from the tablet.
The tablet also integrates WPS Office AI. Users can write simple prompts to generate documents, convert documents into presentations, and create spreadsheet formulas and charts without memorizing formulas.
Battery, Accessories, and Launch Benefits
The 10,100 mAh battery is claimed to support up to eight hours of online meetings or 10 hours of video playback. Huawei also introduces the latest M-Pencil Pro, which includes an Air Mouse mode for presentation pointing and scrolling.
Other accessories include a multi-mode folio cover and the Huawei Bluetooth Mouse. For entertainment and creative work, the tablet features six stereo speakers with AI voice tracking, a 12MP front camera, and access to the GoPaint design application, which is available in more than 30 countries.
The launch benefits include a Huawei Glide Keyboard valued at Rp2.7 million, an M-Pencil Pro valued at Rp2.2 million, a Bluetooth Mouse valued at Rp399,000, one year of PC-Level WPS AI valued at Rp2 million, and bank cashback worth Rp2 million.
Huawei also offers a zero-percent installment plan starting at Rp1,167,000 per month for 12 months. The offer and launch benefits are available during the stated promotion period.
