Swan.my.id - Jakarta, Huawei has expanded its latest tablet family with the new Huawei MatePad Air Z. The tablet comes in Standard and Enjoy Edition variants, both of which are now available for preorder through Huawei’s official VMall store.
However, Huawei has not yet revealed a detailed official launch schedule. The company also has not confirmed when the tablet will become available in global markets.
The new tablet follows Huawei’s recent launches in the MatePad Air series and its appearance alongside an innovative tri-foldable smartphone in the domestic market. With two variants and several configuration options, the MatePad Air Z targets users who want a large display, strong battery life, and multimedia features in one device.
Huawei MatePad Air Z Comes in Two Editions
Huawei offers the Standard Edition in Coral Orange, Island Blue, and Space Gray. These colors give the tablet a mix of bright, casual, and professional appearances.
Meanwhile, the Enjoy Edition comes in Nebula Pink and Moonlight Silver. Both models retain the design character of the regular MatePad Air line. However, three of the five color options receive refreshed touches around the rear camera module.
The two editions also feature different camera housing designs. The Standard Edition uses a circular lens inside a pill-shaped module and includes an LED flash. In contrast, the Enjoy Edition adopts a simpler oval-shaped camera housing.
12-Inch PaperMatte Display Supports 144Hz Refresh Rate
The display becomes one of the main attractions of the Huawei MatePad Air Z. Both variants use a 12-inch Ultra HD Eye-Care PaperMatte panel designed to reduce glare and improve viewing comfort.
As a result, text and images should remain clear even when users operate the tablet under bright sunlight. The screen also offers a 2.8K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio.
These specifications provide a spacious visual area for browsing, watching videos, and handling productivity tasks. In addition, the PaperMatte surface focuses on reducing reflections that can distract users during extended viewing sessions.
Kirin T93S23 and HarmonyOS 7 Power Both Models
Huawei equips both versions with its in-house Kirin T93S23 chipset. The tablets also run HarmonyOS 7, Huawei’s operating system for its latest devices.
For photography and video calls, each model features an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera. Although the camera specifications remain the same, the different housing designs help distinguish the Standard Edition from the Enjoy Edition.
Both tablets also include a six-speaker stereo system. This setup supports multimedia use by delivering stereo audio for entertainment and other tablet activities.
Large Battery and Different Charging Speeds
The Huawei MatePad Air Z Standard Edition and Enjoy Edition share a 10,100mAh battery. However, Huawei separates the two models through their charging capabilities.
The Standard Edition supports 66W fast charging and includes a 66W all-in-one adapter in the package. Meanwhile, the Enjoy Edition comes with a 40W charging adapter.
Therefore, users who prioritize faster charging may find the Standard Edition more suitable. The Enjoy Edition, on the other hand, offers the same battery capacity while targeting a lower starting price.
Prices Start at 2,999 Yuan
The Standard Edition starts at 3,699 Yuan, or approximately Rp8.1 million, for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Its highest option reaches 4,999 Yuan for the 12GB/256GB model with a PaperMatte display. Huawei also lists a mid-range PaperMatte option at 4,299 Yuan.
The Enjoy Edition starts at 2,999 Yuan, or approximately Rp6.5 million, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its top configuration offers 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a PaperMatte display for 4,499 Yuan.
Huawei also sells additional accessories for the Standard Edition, including a Smart Leather Case and Magnetic Keyboard. These accessories can support users who want to use the tablet for more productive tasks.
Global Availability Remains Unconfirmed
Huawei has not yet shared every technical detail about the MatePad Air Z. The company also has not announced a definite global availability schedule.
Further information may arrive alongside Huawei’s upcoming flagship product launch in the near future. Until then, the tablet remains available for preorder through VMall in its two main editions.
