Swan.my.id - Jakarta, Infinix has expanded its mobile gaming ecosystem with the launch of the Infinix GT NX Controller and GT NX Station. The two accessories serve different roles, but both aim to make smartphone gaming feel closer to a dedicated gaming device.
The GT NX Controller focuses on input, particularly for mobile first-person shooter (FPS) games. Meanwhile, the GT NX Station combines connectivity features with a cooling system for smartphones used during demanding gaming sessions.
Infinix designed the controller and dock to support more flexible mobile gaming setups. Users can prioritize precise controls with the controller or build a more complete desk-based arrangement through the station.
GT NX Controller Brings Pixel-Level FPS Controls
The main feature of the Infinix GT NX Controller is its Pixel-Level FPS Precision Touchpad. Infinix claims the technology is the first of its kind on a mobile gaming controller and aims to deliver mouse-like accuracy in FPS games on smartphones.
Touchscreen controls offer flexibility, but players can face challenges when they need to aim and move quickly. Therefore, the touchpad seeks to provide more detailed input while retaining the familiar touch-based approach used in mobile gaming.
This design could benefit competitive players who need fast and precise movements. However, the controller remains focused on smartphone gaming rather than replacing every control method available on a dedicated console.
Infinix also equips the controller with a three-chip low-latency architecture and Direct Connect technology. Two chips sit inside the left grip, while the third chip occupies the right grip. Infinix says this configuration helps maintain responsive and consistent input during gameplay.
Up to 22 Hours of Battery Life
For longer sessions, the GT NX Controller offers up to 22 hours of battery life. The controller also includes three levels of haptic feedback, which users can adjust through XArena.
Infinix describes the haptic sensation as similar to that of a handheld console controller. Players can select the intensity that suits their preferences, whether they want subtle feedback or a stronger response during gameplay.
The controller uses an ergonomic design with an anti-slip surface. In addition, it supports several playing arrangements. Users can attach it directly to a smartphone, place the setup on a table, or use the controller in one-handed mode.
GT NX Station Combines Expansion and Cooling
While the controller handles input, the GT NX Station serves as a connectivity hub and cooling accessory. Infinix describes it as a 9-in-1 expansion dock with a TEC-based cooling system.
The cooling system aims to reduce the risk of thermal throttling during heavy gaming. When a smartphone becomes too hot, its performance can suffer. Because of that, the station adds more than connectivity to a mobile gaming setup.
The dock supports Universal Extend or Mirror modes on compatible displays. As a result, users can connect a smartphone to an external screen and play with a larger viewing area.
Complete Port Selection for Mobile Gaming
The GT NX Station includes HDMI, an RJ45 Ethernet port, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, a USB-C host cable, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
One USB-C port also supports PD input. This feature allows the dock to handle charging needs within a more complex gaming setup. Meanwhile, the RJ45 Ethernet port supports wired network connections for users who need a direct link during gameplay.
The station also features Dynamic RGB lighting. The lighting mainly adds a visual element, but it matches the gaming identity of Infinix’s GT series.
A More Flexible Smartphone Gaming Setup
The two accessories offer distinct approaches to mobile gaming. The GT NX Controller focuses on precise and responsive controls, especially for FPS titles. On the other hand, the GT NX Station targets users who want external display support, wired connectivity, additional ports, and smartphone cooling.
Together, the Infinix GT NX Controller and GT NX Station extend the role of a smartphone in a gaming setup. The controller addresses input precision, while the station supports a broader arrangement for users who want to connect their phone to other devices.
