REDMI Note 17 Series Brings 10,000mAh Battery and AI Camera Features
Swan.my.id - Jakarta, Xiaomi will officially launch the REDMI Note 17 Series in Indonesia on September 16, 2026. The new smartphone family combines large battery capacities, reinforced durability, and camera features supported by hardware, software, and artificial intelligence.
The series includes four models: REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17. Xiaomi positions the lineup under its REDMI Titan Quality concept and the “Built for Years” principle.
The company has designed the devices for users with demanding daily routines, including work, travel, entertainment, and content creation. Further details about pricing, availability, and sales channels will be announced through Xiaomi Indonesia’s official channels.
REDMI Note 17 Series Offers Batteries up to 10,000mAh
The REDMI Note 17 Series features the REDMI Titan Battery System, which combines high battery capacity with power management designed for long-term use. The REDMI Note 17 and REDMI Note 17 5G carry 7,700mAh batteries, while the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G has an 8,340mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G comes with a 10,000mAh battery. Xiaomi describes it as the largest smartphone battery capacity the company has introduced. The model also supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging.
Xiaomi states that the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G can support up to 40 hours of video playback, 34 hours of YouTube, 24 hours of YouTube Shorts, 16 hours of Google Maps, 137 hours of speaker music playback, and 78 hours of calls. It can also support up to 15 hours of 1080p video recording.
Through its smart battery management system, the battery across the series can retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. Xiaomi equates this figure to around six years of normal use. The battery performance has also received TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification.
Pro Models Receive Enhanced Durability
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G use the REDMI Titan Structure, which strengthens the hardware for daily demands. Both models have received TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification covering impact resistance, water resistance, and battery performance.
The two Pro models also carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water-resistance certifications. Xiaomi says they passed immersion testing for up to 72 hours at a depth of two meters. Their durability also includes drop testing from up to three meters onto granite surfaces.
Additional protection comes from SGS certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which helps protect against impacts and scratches. The REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 offer IP65 protection against dust and water, including everyday splashes and rain.
Camera Features Combine AI and Dual Video
The REDMI Note 17 Series also brings camera improvements through a combination of camera hardware, software processing, and AI. Xiaomi says the system is designed to improve image processing, expand shooting options, and help users capture moments in different conditions.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G support Underwater Mode for taking photos and videos underwater. The feature is supported by the water resistance of both Pro models.
All four models include Dual Video, allowing users to record with the front and rear cameras simultaneously. This feature can capture two angles in one video, such as during moments with friends, pets, or family members.
The camera experience is further supported by updated AI algorithms for image processing. Xiaomi also includes the AI Creativity Assistant, with tools such as AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, and AI Beautify.
Indonesia Launch Scheduled for September 16
Andi Renreng, Director of Marketing at Xiaomi Indonesia, said the company wants to provide smartphones capable of supporting users throughout the day and over many years. He highlighted the lineup’s large batteries, durability, and camera capabilities as key elements of the REDMI Titan Quality approach.
With four models, battery capacities ranging from 7,700mAh to 10,000mAh, reinforced protection on the Pro models, and AI-assisted camera tools, the REDMI Note 17 Series is set to enter the Indonesian market on September 16, 2026.
