According to Abdullah, buyers should choose sellers with a clear reputation and a reliable after-sales commitment. A motorcycle may look attractive, but the seller’s responsibility after the transaction remains an important consideration.
“If you are inexperienced but want to buy a custom unit because it looks good, look for a recommended and trusted seller,” Abdullah said.
Buyers should ask whether the showroom provides a warranty after the purchase. They also need to understand which components the warranty covers and how the seller will respond if an upgraded part develops a problem.
“Ask whether there is a warranty after the purchase or how far they will take responsibility. Request that guarantee formally in writing, so that if a problem occurs with an upgraded component, the buyer can hold the seller accountable,” Abdullah continued.
Written documentation can help clarify the seller’s obligations. Therefore, buyers should avoid relying only on verbal promises during the negotiation process.
Review the Showroom’s Track Record
Before making a decision, prospective buyers should examine the showroom’s track record and online activity. This step can help buyers assess whether the business remains active and whether it has a clear relationship with its customers.
Besides checking online information, buyers should ask the seller to explain the motorcycle’s modification history. The explanation should cover the upgraded components and the reason for changing them, when that information is available from the seller.
