Yadea OVA Mini Brings Smart Features to Urban Electric Mobility

Swan.my.id - Jakarta, Yadea has introduced the Yadea OVA Mini, a compact electric bicycle designed with smart features and a more relaxed character for daily urban mobility. The new model carries the OVA name, but its dimensions, performance and technology set it apart from the existing Yadea OVA.
Yadea launched the OVA Mini on September 12, 2026. The model is aimed at the teenage segment, particularly female users, while retaining an emphasis on ergonomics and practical urban transportation.
At a glance, the OVA and OVA Mini appear to share a similar concept. However, their specifications show that the OVA Mini is not simply a smaller version of the OVA.
Yadea OVA Mini Has Different Dimensions
The OVA Mini measures 1,520 mm in length, 715 mm in width and 1,050 mm in height. Its seat height reaches 730 mm, while the seat length is 600 mm.
By comparison, the OVA is 1,580 mm long, 660 mm wide and between 1,040 and 1,120 mm high. It has a 735 mm seat height and a 615 mm seat length. Therefore, the OVA Mini is 60 mm shorter but 55 mm wider than the OVA.
Both models use hydraulic front and rear suspension. Yadea also highlights ergonomic support for the hands, hips and feet. The OVA Mini uses an ergonomic seat intended to improve comfort for both the rider and passenger.
OVA Offers More Power, While OVA Mini Stays More Relaxed
The OVA uses a 600 W wheel hub motor with a top speed of up to 40 km/h. Meanwhile, the OVA Mini uses the same motor type with lower output of 500 W and a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
This difference gives the OVA a stronger performance character. The OVA Mini, on the other hand, is positioned as a more relaxed option for everyday mobility and follows the maximum speed limit stated for electric bicycles.
The battery specifications also differ. The OVA uses a 48V 23Ah Graphene Battery and lists a range of up to 60 km. The OVA Mini uses a 48V 21Ah SLA battery, while its official specifications do not list a range figure.
Smart Technology Becomes the OVA Mini’s Main Character
Yadea presents the OVA with a Retro Premium design. Its highlighted details include premium automotive-quality paint, an Exclusive Badge, an electroplated grille pattern, a Diamond Headlight and a Swallowtail design.
The OVA also offers Bluetooth connectivity for activating the vehicle through an application, an electrically operated under-seat compartment and TTFAR technology for recovering energy during coasting, downhill riding and braking.
The OVA Mini takes a different direction with its Super Smart concept. It includes Cruise Control System, Hill Descent Control and Traction Control System. These features are designed to help maintain a steady speed, support control on descents and improve wheel grip.
Safety Features and Key Differences
Both models include TCS and HDC. The OVA additionally lists One-Touch Reverse and One-Touch Push Assist, which can provide extra assistance when climbing or pushing the vehicle with a load.
The wheel sizes are also different. The OVA uses 2.75-10 tires at both ends, while the OVA Mini uses a 3.0-8 front tire and a 2.75-10 rear tire. The OVA has a front disc brake and rear drum brake, but the official OVA Mini specifications do not list its brake types.
In terms of positioning, the OVA suits users seeking higher performance, a Retro Premium appearance and a listed range of up to 60 km. The OVA Mini is more suitable for users prioritizing smart electronic features, a lower seat height and a 25 km/h maximum speed.
Yadea’s official website lists the OVA at Rp8.9 million. The OVA Mini’s price is not listed on the official page used for this comparison. As a result, the two models can currently be distinguished more clearly through their specifications, designs and features than through pricing.
