Swan.my.id - Bali fuel stations open 24 hours at 66 locations as Pertamina Patra Niaga works to restore fuel distribution across the island. The company is adding supply and field support while authorities apply temporary measures to manage purchases and keep service moving.

The round-the-clock network covers 42 stations in Denpasar and 24 in Badung. Pertamina says it is monitoring conditions in the field and adjusting its response as circumstances develop. The measures aim to support residents and other motorists while deliveries continue.

The 66 selected stations will operate continuously, giving drivers access to fuel overnight as well as during the day. The extended hours are part of a wider effort to maintain service during the distribution recovery period. The announcement identifies the number of stations in each area, but does not provide a full address-by-address list.

To help sustain night operations, Pertamina is working with Kodam IX/Udayana. A total of 100 Indonesian military personnel are being placed on standby as backup station operators. Their role is to support station staffing when needed, while Pertamina continues to manage supply and operations.

Area Manager for Communication, Relations and CSR at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, said supply readiness must go hand in hand with operational support. He said monitoring remains ongoing so the response can match changing conditions on the ground.

Fuel stocks targeted at 48 million liters

Pertamina Patra Niaga is targeting a combined stock of 48 million liters at Terminal Manggis in Karangasem and Fuel Terminal Sanggaran in Denpasar. The company projects that this volume could cover Bali’s needs for around 14 to 15 days. That is a projection, not a guarantee that every product will be available at every station at all times.

Road transport is another focus. Pertamina has 108 tanker trucks and 465 crew members assigned to support distribution. The operation has also been strengthened with 16 additional tanker units. The announcement does not specify whether those additional vehicles are included in the 108 figure, so the numbers should be read as reported rather than combined into a new total.

Bali Police are also helping secure tanker movements. Their escort support is intended to reduce disruption as fuel trucks travel to stations. Together, the stock target, transport capacity and field personnel are designed to keep deliveries moving while the company monitors demand and supply.

Temporary purchase limits and odd-even rules

The Bali provincial government has set a daily refuelling limit while conditions recover. Each car may buy up to 20 liters per day, while each motorcycle may buy up to 3 liters. The limits apply until the situation improves, according to the announced arrangement.

An odd-even vehicle registration system is also scheduled for three consecutive days, from Saturday, October 17, through Monday, October 19, 2026. The arrangement refers to Bali Governor’s Letter Number B.21.500.1/16673/V/DISNAKER.ESDM. The announcement does not set out the specific number-plate schedule, so motorists should follow instructions issued by local authorities and stations.

These rules operate alongside the longer station hours. The expanded service gives motorists more opportunities to refuel, while purchase limits and vehicle rotation help manage demand. Drivers should not assume that a station’s 24-hour schedule removes the temporary restrictions.

What motorists should do

Ahad urged the public to stay calm, buy fuel according to actual needs and comply with the refuelling arrangements. That guidance supports the effort to distribute available fuel across communities rather than encouraging unnecessary purchases. Motorists can also check current directions from local authorities before travelling to a station.

For drivers in Denpasar and Badung, the key practical points are the operating hours, the daily volume limits and the three-day odd-even measure. Those travelling elsewhere on the island should not assume that every station follows the same 24-hour schedule, since the announced nonstop service applies to 66 selected locations in the two named areas.

Pertamina says it will continue monitoring supply and operations as the recovery progresses. The 48-million-liter stock target, tanker fleet and added station support form the company’s response, while public cooperation remains part of the plan. Service is expected to return to normal gradually, rather than through a single change to station hours.
