Swan.my.id - Bose wired earbuds are making a fresh entrance in Indonesia with a combination of USB-C connectivity, active noise cancellation, and a retro-inspired look. The company plans to introduce its Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds on November 1, 2026, and begin sales the following day.
The launch arrives as wired earphones regain visibility, particularly among younger consumers who treat them as part of an outfit as well as a way to listen. Bose’s new model brings that familiar cable into a product with modern audio features, including adjustable noise control and an inline remote.
Why Bose wired earbuds fit the current trend
According to Google Trends data cited by Bose Indonesia, searches for “wired earphones” rose 150% in 2026 compared with 2025. The company links the renewed interest to celebrities wearing wired models and the return of Y2K-inspired fashion.
That style draws on looks popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Oversized jackets, plain T-shirts, and baggy trousers are among its familiar elements. In this context, an earphone cable can become a visible accessory rather than something to tuck away.
Dede Oktaferdian, Marketing Manager at Bose Indonesia, said consumers increasingly view wired earphones as a way to express personal style. He described the new model’s aesthetic design and color choices as part of that appeal. The product therefore speaks to both fashion and everyday listening, rather than treating its cable as a purely functional detail.
USB-C connection and practical controls
Instead of a traditional 3.5 mm audio plug, the earbuds use USB-C. That connector suits many newer smartphones, which may no longer include a dedicated headphone jack. However, users will need a device that supports audio output through its USB-C port.
A cable-mounted inline remote provides physical buttons for common controls. Users can adjust volume, play or pause music and video, skip tracks, and answer phone calls. The remote also includes a microphone for communication through the connected device.
These controls keep everyday functions within reach on the cable. As a result, listeners can manage playback or respond to a call without relying solely on their phone’s screen. Bose has not announced additional specifications such as cable length, so buyers should refer to official product details when those become available.
Three colors give the earbuds different looks
Bose will offer the Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds in Black, White Smoke, and Dewdrop Mint. Black provides a darker, understated option, while White Smoke gives the design a lighter appearance. Dewdrop Mint adds a pastel green accent for people who prefer a more noticeable accessory.
The colors give the same wired design room to suit different styles. Black can complement darker outfits, while White Smoke fits a minimal or futuristic look. Dewdrop Mint, meanwhile, offers a brighter choice. Bose presents the range as a way to make an audio device feel more personal as well as useful.
Although the look draws on retro styling, the product does not rely on appearance alone. Bose also equips it with QuietControl, a noise-management feature that offers three listening modes: Quiet, Aware, and Off. Each mode addresses a different balance between reducing outside sound and hearing the surroundings.
QuietControl offers three listening modes
Quiet mode combines active noise cancellation (ANC) with passive noise reduction from the ear tips. Bose positions this setting for listening in greater focus, whether users are playing music, following a podcast, or enjoying other audio content.
Aware mode uses the earbuds’ microphones to let environmental sounds remain audible. That can help users stay more conscious of nearby activity without taking the earbuds out. Off mode disables active noise cancellation, although the fitted ear tips can still reduce some outside sound passively.
The three options let listeners choose how much outside sound they want to hear. Quiet prioritizes a more isolated listening experience; Aware keeps more of the surroundings present; and Off turns off the active cancellation function. Bose has not specified additional ANC measurements, so the modes describe the available choices rather than a quantified level of noise reduction.
Dede said Bose still considers sound quality central to a wired product. He pointed to clear audio and QuietControl ANC as features intended to make music, podcasts, and calls more comfortable. The design thus combines a visible cable with controls and noise management that listeners may associate with newer audio devices.
Indonesia launch dates and availability
Bose is scheduled to introduce the Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds in Indonesia on November 1, 2026. Sales are set to start on November 2, giving consumers a one-day gap between the announcement and the planned start of availability.
The company has not yet disclosed the official price or detailed availability information. For now, confirmed details include the USB-C connector, inline remote with microphone, QuietControl’s three modes, and the Black, White Smoke, and Dewdrop Mint finishes.
For shoppers considering the model, USB-C audio support is an important compatibility check. Beyond that, the choice comes down to whether they want a wired design with adjustable ANC and a style that fits the renewed interest in visible earphones. Bose’s launch pairs a familiar format with contemporary controls, while its price and wider retail details remain to be announced.
