Swan.my.id - Bose wired noise-cancelling earbuds are set to arrive in Indonesia with a mix of retro styling and modern audio features. Bose will introduce the new model on November 1, 2026, and begin sales the following day, November 2. The company has not announced its price or detailed availability.

The launch comes as wired earphones regain attention among younger listeners. Once treated mainly as practical accessories, visible cables now also feature in fashion, particularly alongside the return of Y2K-inspired outfits. Bose’s new earbuds respond to that shift while retaining features designed for everyday listening.

Wired earphones meet the Y2K revival

The Y2K look draws on styles from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Oversized jackets, plain T-shirts, loose trousers, and retro accessories are among the pieces associated with the trend. In that context, an earphone cable can become part of an outfit rather than something a wearer needs to conceal.

Google Trends data cited by Bose Indonesia showed searches for “wired earphones” in 2026 had risen 150% compared with 2025. The company links this renewed interest to the visibility of wired earphones among international celebrities and the wider popularity of Y2K fashion. The figure is a search trend, not a measure of sales.

Dede Oktaferdian, Marketing Manager at Bose Indonesia, said consumers increasingly see wired earphones as a way to express personal style. He described the new product’s design and color choices as part of that appeal. Bose is therefore positioning the earbuds as both a listening device and an accessory for daily wear.

USB-C connection and cable controls

Rather than using a traditional 3.5 mm audio plug, the earbuds connect through USB-C. That choice reflects the growing number of modern smartphones that no longer include a separate headphone jack. They can work with devices that support audio output through USB-C, although compatibility depends on the connected device.

A physical inline remote sits on the cable, giving listeners access to key controls without reaching for their phone. Its buttons can adjust volume, play or pause music and video, skip tracks, and answer calls. The remote also includes a microphone for calls on a connected device.

This wired setup offers a different experience from wireless earbuds. Listeners do not need to pair the product over Bluetooth, but they do need a compatible USB-C audio connection and a cable running between the earbuds and their device. The remote keeps common playback and call functions close at hand.

QuietControl offers three listening modes

Bose’s QuietControl technology lets users choose how much they hear from their surroundings. The earbuds provide three modes: Quiet, Aware, and Off. Each is intended for a different listening situation, so users can adjust the balance between audio and environmental sound.

Quiet combines active noise cancellation with passive sound reduction from the ear tips. Bose presents this mode for listening with fewer outside distractions, whether users are playing music, following a podcast, or watching other audio-based content. The level of passive isolation also depends on how well the earbuds fit.

Aware uses the earbuds’ microphones to let surrounding sounds remain audible. That option may suit moments when users want to keep listening but also pay attention to nearby activity. For example, it can be useful when someone needs greater awareness than Quiet mode provides.

Off disables active noise cancellation. The ear tips can still reduce some outside sound passively when they fit properly, but the active function is not running. Having these three settings gives listeners a choice instead of requiring them to use the same noise-control level in every environment.

Three colors and an upcoming launch

Bose will offer the earbuds in Black, White Smoke, and Dewdrop Mint. Black provides a darker, understated look, while White Smoke gives the product a lighter appearance. Dewdrop Mint adds a pastel green option for people who prefer a more colorful accessory.

The selection supports the product’s style-led approach, but the colors do not change its listed controls or listening modes. Buyers can choose based on personal preference and how they want the cable and earbuds to complement their everyday clothing.

Bose says the earbuds are designed to deliver clear sound alongside QuietControl active noise cancellation. Dede also emphasized listening comfort for music, podcasts, and calls. These are the company’s stated aims; Bose has not provided pricing or additional technical specifications in its announcement.

Indonesian consumers can expect the official introduction on November 1, followed by sales from November 2, 2026. Until Bose shares further details, the price and specific availability remain unconfirmed. The announced features nevertheless make the model a notable wired option: USB-C connectivity, cable-based controls, three noise-control modes, and a choice of three colors.
